Igangan Community Denies Betraying Igboho,Asks Awikonko To Retract Claims AgainstJanbele

Igangan Community Development Association has denied the allegations levelled against one of its sons, Honourable Tunji Omolewu, popularly known as Janbele, for allegedly conniving with operatives of Department of State Service (DSS) who invaded and raided the Ibadan home  of Yoruba Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

The Community was reactiing to the comment of an online presenter identified as Akanda Oro Awikonko who  accused Janbele of betraying Igboho, by revealing some of his secrets to DSS who killed  two of his aides and arrested others.

Chairman of the Community Association, Honourable Segun Okedeji, who faulted the allegations at a news conference in Igangan, Ibarapa North Area of Oyo State, described it as mischievous, callous and wicked lies against Janbele and the entire community.

Okedeji explained that the community would not tolerate any act capable of severe its cordial relationship with Igboho who through his assistance liberated the entire zone from the incessant attacks on farmers and residents by armed Fulani herdsmen.

The Community leader added that the community has undisputed confidence in Janbele, an ally of Igboho for almost three decades without any form of suspicion, that he can never betrayed him.

The development, according to him, is one of several means by some unscrupulous elements to show Igangan Community as an ingrate.

He, however, asked Awikonko to retract the online publication that allegedly maligned the character of Janbele and the entire Igangan Community and tender public apology to it within the next seven days.

Okedeji warns that failure to do that at the expiration of the deadline issued to Awikonko, the community will not hesitate to take legal actions against him.
