Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, as the new Head of Service of Ogun State Civil Service.
Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi who announced the appointment in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Friday, stated that Dr. Aigoro, 58, joined the State Public Service on January 6, 1998, as a Consultant (Orthopedic) on Grade Level 15.
Dr. Aigoro, according to the statement, is a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon with special interest in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty
The new HoS who replaces Alhaja Selimot Ottun who retired from the service on Thursday at the age of 60, is a fellow of many professional bodies which include; the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Nigerian Orthopedic Association, International College of Surgeons, SICOT-international Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and Traumatologists and Nigeria Institute of Management, among others.
It further added that the new Head of Service, whose appointment takes effect from November 4, 2021, is a recipient of many awards, including year 2007 Best Health Worker by the Ogun State Government.
