Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo Professor Ibiyemi *Olatunji-Bello has approved the appointments of Heads and Acting Heads for some of the departments in various facilities in the institution
Those appointed according to a statement include Dr Oluwakemi Ajelara as Acting Head, Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology , Faculty of Science whose appointment ought to have taken effect from Friday, 15th August 2025 and Saturday, 14th August 2027 , Professor Abosede Adu as Head of Department of Botany , Faculty of Science, beginning from Friday, 15th August 2025 to Monday, 14th August 2028, Dr Benjamin Olabimitan as Acting Head, Department Of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, whose appointment ought to have taken effect from Friday, 15th August 2025 and end on Saturday, 14th August 2027
Others are Professor Abdulrafiu Majolagbe as Head, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, with effect from *Friday, 15th August 2025* to *Monday, 14th August 2028*, Professor Jubril Jawando as Head, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, with effect from Friday, 15th August 2025 to Monday, 14th August 2028 and
Dr Eunice Ojo as *Acting Head, Department of Nursing, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, with effect from *Friday, 1st August 2025 to Tuesday, 31st August 2027
The appointment of Dr Iyabo Fasona was however renewed as Coordinator, Department of Environmental Management, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Lagos State University, Epe Campus with effect from Friday, 8th August 2025* to Friday, 7th August 2026
