Abiodun Reassures Ogun Workers On Outstanding Unremitted Deductions, Others



Governor Dapo Abiodun has  re-assured workers on payroll of Ogun State Government that all the outstanding unremitted deductions and others issues would be resolved by his administration

Abiodun gave the reassurance in Abeokuta on Thursday during the official disengagement of Alhaja Selimot Ottun and her predecessor, Town Planner(Mrs)Amope Chokor from the service as the 17th and 16th Heads of Service of the State, along with other retired Perment Secretaries

The governor addressing workers at the Arcade Ground of the State Secretariat in Oke-mosan, described the two former HoS as exemplary, saying they provided purposeful leadership worthy of emulation by other workers in the service

"We are working hard to resolve all the outstanding issues affecting workers, we are deeply committed to implement programmes that will address welfare of workers", he assured

Abiodun however tasked them to be more dedicated and professional in discharge of their responsibilities to the state, particularly in preparation of the proposed 2022 budget, to enable his administration actualize its "Building Our Future Agenda" aimed at improving Infrastructure in the state

The governor also noted the hard work of the State's Accountant General, Micheal Olubunmi Idowu who rose from the rank of just Clerical Officer on grade level 04 and to the peak of his career in the service which ends later in the year by December

The immediate past HoS, Alhaja Selimot Ottun who attained the age of 60 on 4th of November, urged Workers to make discipline and patriotism their watch words while asking them to continue to support the Abiodun's administration to provide more qualitative service to the people




Highpoint of the send forth party for the retired Hos and other permanent secretaries was cutting of the 60th birthday by  Ottun who was appointed as the  17th HoS on 30th of June, 2020 by the present administration

Pastor Abraham Sefunye speaking on behalf of other retired Perment Secretaries, commended the governor for institutionalising the culture of excellence in the appointment and promotion in the state's public service
