Ogun State Police Command has declared its readiness to partner and support the State Alternate Medicine Board (OGAMB) in its efforts to standardize and regulate the practice of Traditional, Complementary and alternate medicine across the State.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni expressed the readiness
during a Courtesy visit to his office at Eleweeran, Abeokuta, by the top management of the Board.
CP Ojajuni noted that the Board had one of the most complex and challenging tasks and reiterated that standardization of practice must be taken as top priority for safety of lives and effective service delivery.
He affirmed that Traditional medicine was handed down by the forefathers from generation to generation, emphasizing the need to scale up this indigenous way of healing scientifically to be in tandem with modern practices.
The Commissioner of Police also noted that the enabling tools, that is, the Regulatory Laws, must be strengthened to align with the Federal Laws, especially in the aspects of governance, equity, fairness and justice.
He also commended the Board Chairman and the management team for the effective handling of such a sensitive and dynamic government agency.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board, Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye, who led the delegation to the command headquarters, appreciated CP Bode Ojajuni for his keen interest and belief in alternative medicine.
He added that the board looks forward to continuous, enhanced partnership and support across all vital areas of TCAM practice in Ogun State.

He expressed confidence in the leadership of the Ogun State Police Command.
