
The Society of Muslim Professionals (SMP), will be holding its 35th anniversary weeklong spiritual and charitable activities beginning from Tuesday April 13 till Sunday, April 19, 2026 in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital
The 35th Anniversary Celebration, is commemorating over three decades of commitment to spiritual growth, professional excellence, and community service since its establishment on 13th April, 1991.
Publicity Committee of the anniversary's week announcing the weeklong activities in a statement made available to Edu-biznews on Monday, says the event's theme “From Gratitude to Greater Heights: Sustaining Excellence in Deen and Dunyah,” reflects the Society’s enduring dedication to balancing faith with worldly pursuits while fostering unity and development among its members and the wider community.
The week-long programme of events of the anniversary according to the statement, hold between Tuesday, 13th and Friday, 16th April, 2026, with visits and donations to the needy, alongside brief spiritual engagements aimed at uplifting lives and reinforcing the values of compassion and charity.
On Friday, 16th April, 2026, there will be Special Jumu‘ah Service with light refreshments, providing an opportunity for collective worship and reflection.
Special Azkar and Grand Finale ceremony will be holding on Sunday 19th April, 2026,
at the SMP Central Mosque, Solar Distinct Hill-top, opposite Crown Royal Hotel, Abiola Way, Asero, Abeokuta.
The Grand Finale which commences at 11:00am prompt, will be presided over by the National President of the Society, Alhaji Sefiu Rasheed, ably supported by the National Vice-Presidents.
The Spiritual Father of the Day, (Imam) Abubakri AbdWasiu Maadan, Chief Imam of SMP, will lead spiritual proceedings, while the event will be hosted by Alhaji Najeem Mulero, Chairman of the Planning Committee.
The milestone celebration, the statement added, will not only reflect on the Society’s rich history and achievements but also chart a path towards greater impact in both spiritual and socio-economic spheres.
"Members of the public, well-wishers, and the entire Muslim Ummah are cordially invited to participate in the various activities and join in prayers for continued growth and success of the Society", the statement concluded
