Paris Olympic Qualifier: Super Falcons Edge Past South Africa's Bayana-Bayana 1-0 In Abuja





Nigeria's Super Falcons struggled to beat continental arch rivals, Bayana-Bayana of South Africa by a lone-goal in the first leg of qualifiers for football event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Captain, Rasheed Ajibade scored the only in the 43rd minute of the crucial encounter played on Friday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in  Abuja, the nation's capital city 
 
Randy Waldrum’s ladies kept their slender lead through the second half despite the South Africans efforts to get back in the game.

The Falcons must work very hard to avoid defeat  in the 2nd leg in Pretoria, South Africa on Tuesday April 9, to secure ticket for a return to Olympic football after 16 years of absence since 2008 Olympic in Beijing, China 

The winner of the tie will qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
