Ogun Education Team Still In Shock Over Loss Of Former Special Adviser On Technical Education, Visit Family




Ogun State Education Team, led by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu are still in shock at the demise of late former Special Adviser to the Governor on Technical and Vocational Education, Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa.

 Arigbabu, who was accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo and the Chairman, Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Evang. Olalekan Ifede, to the deceased’s residence in Ilisan, commiserated with the family, describing the late Odemuyiwa as a problem solver and epitome of knowledge, especially in the area of technical and vocational skill acquisition.

The Commissioner, who acknowledged the late Professor’s contributions towards the development of technical education in the state, said his oratory prowess and expertise would be greatly missed, promised full involvement in burial activities and prayed that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding on behalf of the immediate family members, the son of the deceased, Architect Odemuyiwa, appreciated the visit, promising to intimate adequately them with burial arrangements.

 Odemuyiwa died last Tuesday in ghastly auto crash on his way to the Lead University, Ibadan, where was a lecturer
