Hajj 2024:Pilgrims To Pay Additional Fare Of N1.9m each,, NAHCON Asks New Applicants To Pay N8.45m Before Wednesday





The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has asked intending pilgrims  for  2024 Hajj fare to pay additional fare of N1,918,032.91 to the initial N4.89million  deposited with the commission for the religious obligation

NAHCON who attributed the fare increase to the high exchange rate of naira to dollar,  is also asking new applicants for the spiritual excercise to pay N8,454,464.74, on or before Wednesday, March 27, 2024, if they want to be part of this year's hajj to the holy cities of Mekkah  and Medina in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB), Alhaji. Dauda Salau who made this known in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Monday, urged the intending pilgrims, who had earlier paid N4,899,000.00 to the Commission, to pay additional N1,918,032.91, while new applicants were to pay N8,454,464.74, on or before Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

The hajj connmission also asked intending pilgrims, who had made their deposits as well as new applicants to make sure that their respective payments were made before the deadline into designated Board's accounts or visit the Board’s Office at New Secretariat, Block B, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for further enquiry.  

The release urged intending pilgrims, who wish to withdraw or defer their deposits till 2025 Hajj to formally write OGMPWB for prompt refund.
