The Lagos State University's Lecturer II in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Dr. Aminat Olawunmi Ige who emerged the Overall Best Graduating Doctoral Thesis Award Winner at the 54th Convocation of the University of Lagos [UNILAG] is to receive the award on the 18th of January, 2024
The thesis of the alumnus of the Lagos State University, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, titled *"O-Metric Spaces: A Novel Unification and Generalisation of Metric-Type Spaces with Applications in Fixed Point Theory"* was not just the best in the department of Mathematics from where she graduated as Doctoral candidate but in the entire university for the 2022/2023 academic session.
Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello who congratulated the lecturer, said that the University was proud of her academic feat.
