Ogun State Government has revealed the readiness of Prince Dapo Abiodun led- administration to hold Education Summit in January 2024, as part of strategic moves to further ensure an improved, qualitative and accessible education system in the state
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu revealed this while playing host to the Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), in his Office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the Summit would witness an official launch of the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda Digital Platform (OGSERA) and Digital Lesson Plan, as well as discuss other issues that would proffer permanent solution to numerous challenges facing the education sector in the State.
The State according to him, has put necessary machinery in place to ensure a successful programme, adding that education experts across the globe have been contacted to deliberate on things that would further take the system to a greater height.
, "Tentatively we have agreed that we should do this Education Summit in January. During the summit, we are going to address all issues in the education sector", the Commissioner stated
Speaking earlier, the AOPSHON Chairman, Comrade Dauda Sanusi, appreciated the present administration for prompt payment of the running cost, promising that teachers would continue to be committed and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.
