The State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu made the pledge during a courtesy visit by the Executive Members of Nigerian Association of French Teachers (NAFT), Ogun State Chapter in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying they are the channels through which other teachers in the State could be easily reached in achieving effective teaching and learning.

The role of the Subject Association according to him, is crucial to the development of education because they are responsible to producing suitable experts in specific fields, curriculum and book review and other cogent activities in the Ministry.

The Commissioner affirmed that, "We cannot have all the experts in the Ministry, definitely we want to rely on Subject Association to get qualified teachers in the field to do this job for us".
