Governing Council of the Lagos State University,Ojo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Omawunmi Orighomisan Makinde as the 5th Substantive Librarian of the University.
Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations of the university, Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile who made this known in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Wednesday, said that the appointment was announced in a
a letter dated 27th November 2023
The appointment according to the statement, is for a period of four (4) years and takes effect from Friday, 1st December 2023
She succeeds, Prof. Emmanuel Layi Adebayo, whose tenure ends on Thursday, 30th November 2023.
Dr. Makinde, who is currently serving as the Acting Dean, School of Library and Archival Studies, is a Deputy Librarian at the University Library.
