Agents of opposition political parties led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dino Melaye on Monday staged a walk out from the National Collaboration Centre for the 2023 Presidential Poll in Abuja, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC of not offloading the results from the Bio-modal Voters
They alleged that INEC was making use of results not verified by BVAS, urging the electoral agency review the process exercise of collating the results of the presidential poll by ensuring that the results are transmitted electronically from each of the polling units before continuing with the collation excercise of the results
The agents insisted on INEC reviewing of the process of collating the results for the presidential poll as provided in the provision of the Electoral Act which empowers the agency to do so
But National Chairman of INEC , Prof. Mahmood Yakubu however disagreed with them, saying the ongoing process of collaboration of results should continue, enjoining the political parties to document their complaints about the results to the electoral agency for appropriate action
The agents not satisfied with the response , decided to stage a peaceful walk out from the hall , leaving the agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress to witness the collation excercise
