NIPOST Shuts Three Courier Service Firms Over Illegal Operations In Ogun




Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has shutdown three courier service firms for allegedly operating illegally in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital

NIPOST enforsement team led by its Assistant General Manager (Courier and Logistic Regulatory Department), Mr Banks Worimegbe shutdown both offices of Swift Delivery and FEZ Delivery inside Omida Shopping Mall in Abeokuta during a raid on Tuesday on  the illegal activities of the courier service providers 




The team also seized motorcycles of another operators,Royal Mandarine Delivery at Government Reservation Area (GRA) in Ibara area of the city






The State Postal Master, Mr. Areo Olugbenga in an interview with newsmen shortly after the exercise, asked those operating illegal courier services to regularize their operations with NIPOST




He urged them to follow the due process by visiting NIPOST office at Sapon for proper documentation of their operations, to prevent anyform of harassment or molestation while discharging services to  customers




On the condition of building structure and facilities at the NIPOSt main office in Abeokuta, Olugbenga said that Federal Government was doing alot to make fund available and put offices of the establishment across the country in good shape, so as to ensure a conducive working environment for its workers
