MAPOLY Suspends 69 Students, Expels 30 Others Over Exams Malpractices



No fewer than 69 students have been placed on suspension by the management of the Ogun State owned, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, (MAPOLY) Abeokuta who also approved the expulsion of 30 others for various offences relating to examinations misconduct

Head, Public Relations unit of the Institution, Mr.Yemi Ajibola who made this known in a statement made available to Edu-biznews on Monday, said that the disciplinary action was inline with the tradition of the school to always uphold high academic standard

"The affected students grossly violated the extant law of the polytechnic guiding the conduct of examination during the 2020/2021 academic session", he added

Further breakdown of the suspended students shows that 26 of them were suspended for 2 two semester session while 43 suspended for 4 semester respectively

The Rector of the Institution, Dr.Adeoye Odedeji in the statement ,warned student populance to desist from any act of indiscipline, especially examinations malpractice, saying no violator would go unpunished

He charged them to be more focus, so as to attain their academic goal
