Ogun State Suplimentary Budget presented by Governor Dapo Abiodun has scaled through the second reading at the State House of Assembly on Tuesday
Chairman of the Finance and Appropriation Committee, Hon.Kunle Sobukanola who opened the debate during consideration of the suplimentary budget, described the Appropriation bill as a paradigm shift to the previous budgetary provisions, saying more financial resources would be made available to fund the ongoing capital projects when the bill is eventually passed
Vice Chairman of the committee, Hon Ganiyu Oyedeji while supporting the quick passage of the suplimentary budget estimate, said it would ensure the spread of dividend of democracy, in terms of provisions of infrastructure to the people across the state
Speaker of the house, Right Honourable Olakunle Oluomo before referring the suplimentary budget to the relevant committee for further legislative consideration, urged members to ensure availability of fund for the recurrent expenses of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies MDAs of government for their over head cost and payment of salaries of workers
Edu-biznews recalled that the house on 28th of December, 2021, passed 2022 Appropriation Law of N350.74 billion which included a capital expenditure of N197.55 billion and recurrent expenditure of N153.18 billion
