Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has admonished youths in the State to get involved in legal ventures that will guarantee their future and shun nefarious activities capable of destroying their ambition in life
Governor Abiodun gave the admonition, while speaking with newsmen after attending the 60th birthday celebration of Taiwo and Kehinde Afolabi and the dedication of a church donated by Dr. Taiwo Afolabi at GRA, Ijebu-Ode, decrying the level of youths’ involvement in social vices such as cultism, cybercrime, and others.
He described Dr. Afolabi as a determined, purposeful, resilient and deliberate Nigerian entrepreneur, who through hard work has risen to become a testimony to the fact that with hope, faith, and determination, one could have fulfilled destiny without involving in despicable conduct.
The Governor expressed happiness that God has spared the celebrant for 60 years and given him the grace to celebrate in style by building a church that was being dedicated to God.
According to the Governor, "I want to advise the young ones not to think of how to get rich quick by selling body parts or being in a cult and other vices. Dr. Afolabi is a case study of what God can do if one is faithful. I call on the youths to emulate him”.
Abiodun charged the youth to shun any act capable of jeopardising their future, noting that involvement in cultism, cybercrime, ritual gangsterism and other vices would not do them any good.
Dr. Taiwo Afolabi in his remarks, appreciated God for what He has done for him and his family, especially sparing his life to see his diamond birthday, pledging to use the remaining days of his life to serve God and humanity.
