Enugu Rangers, Enyimba International of Aba and Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo are jostling for the continental ticket in the topflight, Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL for a place in the next Africa's clubs competition
Both Rangers and Enyimba are in the third and fourth positions with 51points each while Remo are closely followed with 50 points with five matches left to complete the season
Enyimba thrashed Kwara United 3-0 in a week 33 match on Sunday, to move to the fourth position while Rangers narrowly lost by a lone-goal to their host, Nasarawa United of Lafia, Remo also suffered similar defeat by the same margin to homeside, Akwa United in Uyo
Abia Warriors stunned league leaders Rivers United on the road in Portharcourt while second placed Plateau United of Jos also lost by a slim 2-1 to Shooting Stars in a closed door match in Ibadan
Despite the defeat, both Rivers and Plateau are in the first and second positions with 70points and 60 points respectively
In other week 33 matches,Gombe United and Dakkada United of Uyo settled for a two-all draw as well as Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists of Bauchi who ended their encunter in a one-all draw
Katsina United's lone-goal win worsened the position of Mountain of Fire and Miracles MFM Football Club of Lagos currently at the bottom with 33points
Lobi Stars of Makurdi with its slim one/nil victory, also compounded the woes of Heartland of Owerri who are on the 19th position with 37points while Sunshine Stars and Niger Tornadoes settled for a one-all draw
