League Management Company LMC has slammed N9million fine on Kano Pillars and banished the football club to play home matches at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, following its fans attack on visiting Katsina United Football Club during the week 23 match in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Saturday
The match was abandoned in the 82nd minute after both sides were one goal apiece in the Arewa derby at the Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano
Aside the fine imposed on the team, three points will be deducted from the already gathered points while remaining minutes of the match will be played in Abuja
For breaching the NPFL rules, the club has been asked to repair or replace the damaged Katsina United's bus
Meanwhile Rivers United of Port-harcourt are still at the summit of the elite division with 49 points after defeating visiting Enyimba International of Aba by a lone-goal
Second placed Plateau United are still trailing with 48 points, following the team 2-0 win the Mountain of Fire and Miracles MFM FC of Lagos in Jos
In Lafia, Nasarawa United forced the visiting Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo currently in the fourth position with 37 points, to one-all draw in the match which saw King Osanga in the 54th minute, cancelling out the Andy Okpe's 49th goal for the visitors
