Ogun State Government has disbursed N5.438billion gratuity to some of the retirees of Local Government and State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), to further demonstrate its resolve to ensure happy life after retirement for pensioners
The Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government Pensions, Engr. Olufisan Osiyale, disclosed this during an interview with Journalist in his office at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta
He said that the regular disbursement of gratuities to retirees had showed that Prince Dapo Abiodun, was concerned about the wellbeing of the senior citizens.
The Permanent Secretary stated that it behoves on a well-meaning Government to be concerned about those who had served the State diligently in the course of their service
He added that the pensioners would continue to benefit from the present dispensation's numerous gestures.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Aju Ibasuyi and Mrs. Olabisi Adunmo, appreciated the present administration for the regular disbursement of their gratuity and prompt payment of monthly pensions, urging government to continue its good works.
