The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated a brand-new patrol vehicle and 40 pairs of security boots to Lagos State University (LASU) to enhance the protection of lives and property on campus.
Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, who was represented by the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Abiodun Fatai-Abatan, formally received the security equipment on behalf of the institution on Wednesday

The presentation took place at the MRC Hall, Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, Lagos, during a security summit organised by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tertiary Education, and sponsored by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund.
Leading the LASU delegation, Dr Fatai-Abatan expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the LSSTF for the gesture, describing the donation as a significant contribution to strengthening campus security operations and emergency response capacity.
The donation underscores the commitment of the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Security Trust Fund to supporting security infrastructure across tertiary institutions in the state, while reinforcing LASU’s resolve to maintain a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.
