A member representing Yewa North 1 State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adegoke Adeyanju has been honoured with an award of a model of ethical leadership by the publisher of the Nigeria Assembly News ( NASSNEWS) led by Dr. Ademola Adefunmilayo at the Assembly Complex in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Presenting the award to the Yewa North born lawmaker in the presence of the Speaker, Right Honourable Oludaisi Elemide, the NASSNEWS noted that the honour was in recognition of Hon. Adeyanju, (AKA Awoso) achievements and commitment to quality representation in the State House of Assembly
He noted that he had continued to distinguish himself, as a model of ethical leadership and public centered representation.
Dr. Adefunmilayo said that as a two- term representative and Chairman, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure, his contributions to the development of his constituency was a reaffirmation of his dedication to the service of his constituents.
He acknowledged that the recipient believed that leadership service is not a short-cut to accumulation of wealth; but a call to serve with conscience and accountability, stating that his grassroots development initiatives were worthy of emulation.
The organisation also stated that his community and youth development supports were well noted since his days at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.
Receiving the award, Hon. Adeyanju thanked the organisation for the honour; while acknowledging that it would spur him to do more for his constituency, especially in the area of quality representation through people oriented legislation and the facilitation of constituency projects in line with the needs of the people and by extension to the State.
