Remo Stars Return To Summit Of NPFL, End Warri Wolves Winning Streak



Remo Stars Sports Club of Ikenne-Remo  returned to the summit of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after a lone-goal win against Warri Wolves, ending  the winning streak of the visitors in a week three match played on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital 

The Skye Blue Stars are topping the elite league table with seven points having won two matches and drawing one while Warri Wolves with six points dropped to the fourth position 

Returnees, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi are closely placed second with seven points, after securing vital three maximum points in a lone-goal win against visitors, Abia Warriors who are occupying 14th position with three points 

Bayelsa United of Yenegoa dropped to the third position with six points after their winning streak was brought to an end in a one- nil loss to home side , Niger Tornadoes of Minna who are placed sixth with six points 

Katsina United are currently placed fifth with six points after a hard earned lone-goal win against visitors Kano Pillars in Arewa derby , the Pillars are struggling in the 18th position with just a point from three matches 


El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri are in the seventh position with five points after being held to a goal less draw by visitors, Rivers United of Port-harcourt who are in the eight position with five points while Enyimba International of Aba are closely followed in the ninth position with five points after being forced to a goal less draw by visitors, Nasarawa FC of Lafia who are occupying in the 12th position with four points 

Kwara United are at the middle of the league in tenth position with four points after their 2-0 win against debutants, Kun khalifat FC are struggling in the 19th position with just a point from three matches played in the Nigeria's top flight league 

Enugu Rangers are in the 11th position with four points after emphatic 2-0 against visitors, Plateau United of Jos are struggling at the bottom of the league with zero point 

Ikorodu City are currently placed 13th on the table with three points after forcing home side Shooting Stars of Ibadan to a goal less draw, leaving the Oluyole Warriors in the 15th position with two points while Bendel Insurance of Benin-city are next in the 16th position with two points playing one- all draw with hosts and debutants Barau FC in Kano , who are closely followed in the 17th position with two points
