Ogun Govt Strengthens School Administration, Inducts Principals, Vice Principals

Ogun State Government has reinforced its commitment to quality education with the induction of a new set of school administrators in Secondary Schools across the State.

The induction ceremony has 247 Principals and 316 Vice Principals, who took Oath of Allegiance, at Baptist Boys’ High School, Saje, Abeokuta.

Speaking at the event, TESCOM Chairman, Apostle ’Biodun Sanyaolu,  who reaffirmed that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration remains committed to standard and quality education under its 'ISEYA' mantra, stressed that effective school administration and teaching delivery were central to the government’s education policy, adding that TESCOM would continue to prioritise training, retraining, and the welfare of teaching and non-teaching staff.

“TESCOM, as the agency that oversees the teaching workforce, will consistently uphold professional ethics, equity, and fairness while rewarding outstanding performance,” he stated.

Apostle Sanyaolu charged the new Principals and Vice Principals to ensure full implementation of government policies on education, drive academic excellence, and positively impact the lives of learners.

“

As you take on this responsibility, I urge you to embrace collaboration, communication, and innovation. Work closely with teachers, staff, and students to improve schools, promote excellence, and foster a positive learning culture,” he added.

In their goodwill messages, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Evang. Olalekan Ifede; the President of the All Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, Mr. Adeniyi Adekoya; and the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Mr. Noah Sewakanu, congratulated the inductees on their elevation, encouraging them to promote teamwork and strengthen relationships with parents and communities in their respective schools.

Responding on behalf of the inductees, Mrs. Oluyemisi Ayinde and Mr. Inua Olagesin (Principals), alongside Mr. Ope Sodimu and Mrs. Olaoluwa Osinuga (Vice Principals), expressed gratitude to the State Government and TESCOM for the opportunity to serve, and pledging to be diligent and efficient in their new roles.

Highlight of the ceremony was the decoration of TESCOM Chairman, Apostle Sanyaolu, as an Ambassador of School Crime Prevention by the National School Crime Prevention Corps (NSCPC).
