Debutants, Kun Khalifat Football Club of Owerri on Monday suffered first defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League, losing 1-2 at home to defending champions, Remo Stars Sports Club of Ikenne-Remo
Kun Khalifat had earlier in the week one of the elite league held former champions, Enugu Rangers to a goal less draw in Enugu while Remo Stars were also held to a one- all draw by visiting Rivers United of Port-harcourt
But in the rescheduled week two match played at adopted home , Enyimba Stadium in Aba, saw Kun Khalifat taking the lead through Henry Ezeonye who scored from the penalty spot in 15th minute before the visitors drew level Ibrahim Abubakar in the 70th minute
Samson Olasupo grabbed the winner for the Sky-blue Stars in 78th minute of the encounter
With the result, Remo Stars are placed fourth on the table with four points behind third placed El-Kanemi Warriors of Owerri with the same points while Bayelsa United of Yenegoa and Warri Wolves are in the top two positions, with six maximum points
