19,000 Learners Seeking Admission Into Ogun 45 Flagship Secondary Schools

No fewer than Nineteen thousand (19,000) learners who are seeking admission into the Ogun State 45 Flagship Secondary Schools across the 20 Local Government Areas in the state have been screened

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu who revealed this during the monitoring exercise in Egba, Remo and Ijebu divisions of the State, described learner’s turnout and conduct as quite impressive.

Prof. Arigbabu commended Principals, Teachers of various schools as well as Ministry officials for their preparedness towards the successful conduct of the examination, saying the exercise was smooth, timely and hitch-free.

The Commissioner added that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration was committed to providing qualitative and accessible education, hence, the remodeling of the Flagship Schools into a desirable state.

"I'm really impressed with what I saw today, the exercise was orderly, learners were well comported and there was no record of malpractice". Arigbabu stated.

Also speaking, Principal, Ijebu-Ode Grammar School (Junior), Mr. Olalekan Adenowo, said the exercise was better this year, emphasising the fact that, prior alphabetical arrangement of the candidates name from the “Digital Platform for Education Revitalisation” had made it smoother.

Schools visited were Abeokuta Girls' Grammar School, Onikolobo, African Church Grammar School, Ita-Iyalode Abeokuta, Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu and Ijebu-Ode Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode.
