Yaba Lions Club Donates Medical Equipment To LUTH’s Oncology Ward




 In a significant show of humanitarian support, the Yaba Lions Club, District 404 A3 Nigeria, on Friday, June 13 donated vital medical supplies to the Alima Atta Oncology Wards of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba.

The donation, part of the club’s signature project under the leadership of President,  Lion Festus Nkwocha, whose tenure concludes this July, included:

The medical equipments included six oxygen gauges, six drip stands,  six packs of check strips,  six patient baskets as well as Sanitary liquids and Antiseptic supplies for hospital and patient use

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital management, the Matron of the Alima Atta Oncology Wards, Mrs. Agboluaje, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture. She highlighted the ward’s critical role as a specialist unit for cancer patients and assured that the donated items would be fully and effectively utilized to support patient care.

In response, Lion Abolare Abioye, Secretary of Yaba Lions Club, reaffirmed the club’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian service. He noted that the Yaba Lions Club is the second oldest in District 404 Nigeria, founded 45 years ago. Since its inception, the club has actively engaged in impactful service projects including childhood cancer support, diabetes screening, disaster relief, vision care, feeding the hungry, and general health awareness initiatives.
