Gateway Games 2024, Team-Borno, Team-Oyo Storm Games Village At Babcock University

Team-Borno have become the first state from the far North East, Nigeria to storm Gateway Games Village at the Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, for the 22nd National Sports Festival holding in Ogun State 

Professor Babagana Umara Zulum's administration according to a report reaching Edu-Biznews, has been giving continuous support to the team, hence their timely arrival at the games village as the first from the North East zone 

The festival was scheduled to commence on the 17th of May and ended on 30th May 2025 in different sporting Arena across the state.

Team Borno contingents were led by the Executive Secretary Borno state sports Council Alhaji Bura Mustapha Alesadiyaye and directors from the council. 

The team will  competing in about twenty different games during the sporting tournament. 

Already Team-Oyo had arrived the games village at Babcock University Ilishan-Remo according to a report by Tobi Ajewole of BCOS

Team-Oyo athletes was said to be leaving no stone unturned as the build-up to the 22nd National Sports Festival reached advance stage

The boxing and kickboxing teams were seen sweating it out as they fixed their gaze on the prize. 

Abideen Ayinla, Head Coach of the boxing team said with the support of the Oyo State government, they are set to excel at the game.
