Over132 Personnel Write Examination For Vacant Positions In Ogun Fire Service




Not fewer than 132 personnel under six months training have sat for the final In-House Examination to fill existing vacancies across all cadres in the Ogun State Fire Service.

The State Director of Fire Service, Engr. Fatai Adefala who made this known in an interview with newsmen at the examination centre held recently at , Cooperative College, Shasha in Iperu-Remo, explained that the exercise was meant to examine the ability of the personnel on basic skills and professional questions within the training period.

According to him, "over 150 officers were recruited by the state government about six months ago, but due to the rigorous training, some of them have absconded, the remaining officers are writing their final exam and will be graded according to their performances", he noted.

The Director, commended Prince Dapo Abiodun's giant strides, towards development of fire service in the state through reconstruction of four ultra-modern fire stations, procurement of fire equipments, among others. 

Responding on behalf of other personnel, Mr. Babatunde Akinola and Mrs. Olayinka Dosunmu, appreciated the state government for providing necessary support throughout the training period, pledging to maximise their potentials while discharging their duties.        

Observers at the examination centre, were representatives of Civil Service Commission and Bureau of Establishment and Training.
