Ogun State Becoming Notorious As A Take-off Ground For Political Crisis-Says NNPP Founder

The founder of Nigeria"s fourth largest political party, New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), Dr Boniface Aniebonam  has described Ogun State as a land filled with political characters creating crisis in the politics of Nigeria.

Dr Aniebonam who was speaking on a radio programme hosted by veteran broadcast journalist, Dele Ayodo in Abeokuta, the State capital, said 'its quite refreshing to be on air, particularly on a radio in ogun state because the remote cause of most of the crisis, internal crisis of political parties originate from Ogun'.

 The Anambra born Aneibonam then went through how the crisis rocking the NNPP began from the expulsion of it's ogun state chairman,Sunday ogini

  

The problem of the party began in Ogun state when Oginni Sunday Olaposi  who was the chairman in ogun state was expelled. It was in ogun state that they sponsor the expulsion of Oginni from the party without due process and I use my power as a Bot chairman to nullify the expulsion and I called all of them to order and ask them to stop what ever they want to do asking that ogini be return to his office.

Thereafter other people joined them,they went further to dissolving  the executive in about 8 other states across the country.the process for expulsion of any body in our constitution will be from the ward after giving the person a fair hearing and that led to the current national crisis in the party .

What they are now doing at the headquarters is that once  you don't wear that red kwakwasia cap they want to drive you away .

Dr Aneibonam who also founded the national association of government approval freight forwarders recalled how political landmark event and statement that defined and rocked the structure of party politics in Nigeria began from ogun state.Referencing to the iconic statement 

"Emilokan" made by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as candidate of the APC and the infighting in PDP that started with the expulsion of Bode Mustapha as the auditor of the party eventually led to the removal of the entire national executive council of the PDP and his factionalization" , he stated
