NPFL :Enugu Rangers Compound Bayelsa Utd Woes 3-0, Sustain Lead As Remo Stars Fall To Kwara 2-3 in Ilorin




Enugu Rangers Football Club sustain their lead at on the table of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with 60 points, after  compounding the woes of relegation threatened Bayelsa United of Yenegoa, who are still languishing in the 18th position with 39points after week 35 round of matches on Sunday

A brace from Godwin Obaje in the 41st and 65th minutes respectively and the 68th strike by Okorie ensured  that the Flying Antelopes maintained their top position in the Nigeria's top flight league 

Remo Stars however dropped from second position to third position with 56points after their painful 2-3 loss in I to homeside, Kwara United in Ilorin 

The Afonja Warriors are now placed 11th with 44points while defending champions Enyimba International of Aba moved from third to second position with 56points , after securing vital away win in a derby against Abia Warriors who are placed 12th on the table with 44points 

Shooting Stars of Ibadan occupying the fourth position with 53points after being held to a two -all draw by their host, Katsina United who are placed seventh with 49points 

Lobi Stars of Makurdi who are in the fifth position with 52points  fell at home to Akwa United of Uyo who won 2-1 who have moved out of the relegation water and now occupying the 15th possible with 40points while sixth placed Plateau United of Jos with 51points and 13th placed Niger Tornadoes of Minna with 43points , settled for a goal less draw

In Port Harcourt, Rivers United thrashed visiting Sports Lagos 4-1, to occupy eight position with 47points while the Lagosians are in the 14th position with 41points , Kano Pillars also disunited Doma United 3-1 to move to the ninth position with 47points while Doma are within the relegation water in the 17th position with 40points 

Also struggling 16th placed Sunshine Stars with 40 points settled for a goal l  ess draw with visiting Bendel Insurance of Benin-city who completed the top ten on the table with 46points while the last two teams at bottom of the table 19th placed Heartland of Owerri garnered 32points after thrashing  bottom placed Gombe United 3-0, the Gombe boys are at the bottom with just 25 points
