Ireede-Oginni Grassroots Foundation is felicitating with Christians who are celebrating end of 40days lent period of fasting with Easter festivities, urging them to emulate spirit of sacrifice of Jesus Christ by the praying to God to guide government at all levels on the right path to fix the economic challenges facing the country
Founder of the foundation, Hon.(Chief) Funmilayo Ireede-Oginni in an Easter message to Christians in the country, also asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration to renew the hope of Nigerians by investing more in agriculture sector to support mechanized farming , so as to ensure food sufficiency
Nigeria according to the foundation, is bless with large arable land capable of feeding the entire continent of Africa, if properly harnessed by government through provision of necessary farm inputs and financial assistance to support farmers in ensuring massive food production
The foundation added that more investment in the Agric sector would boost establishment of more agro-allied industries, leading to creation of more jobs for teeming unemployed graduates and youths through various value chain of food processing , packaging, distribution and even exportation to earn more dollars to stabilize the value of naira and make it more appreciated
The foundation stressed the need for Nigerians to patronage local products and stop depending on imported goods, as necessary sacrifice they must make to reposition the economy for greatness
Funmilayo Ireede-Oginni, who is also founder of Future Promise Group of Schools ,Abeokuta, however assured that her foundation would continue to support the empowerment of less privileged women in the society and provide scholarship for brilliant and talented indigent children to actualize their dreams and contribute meaningfully to the growth of their immediate environment and the country at large
