Ogun LG Boss Condoles With Bereaved Families, Schools Over Pupils' Death In Yewa North, Vows To Fish Out Killers



The Chairman, Yewa North Local Government in Ogun State, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi and security agencies have paid condolence visits to African Primary School, Ayetoro and the family of a Primary Six pupil, Ayomide Aremu, who slumped and died in the school, as well as the parent of seven-year-old pupil of a private school, Al- Suuna Nursery/ Primary School, Master Idowu Ojo, who was kidnapped and murdered by assailants.

Ogunyomi, while consoling the people, assured them of the provision of adequate security, particularly across schools in the area, promising that the killers of Master Idowu Ọjọ would be fished out and made to face the full wrath of the law.

The Chairman appreciated the people of Ayetoro for being law-abiding and refraining from violence over the incident, as well as the security network provided by the present administration among other necessary measures in combating crimes and criminality in the state.

In their separate remarks, the proprietress of the private school, Mrs. Modinat Akintunde and the Headmistress of the public primary school, Mrs. Adenike Adegbenro, commended the Chairman for empathising with them, assuring him of their cooperation towards ensuring the safety of the pupils at all times.

Responding, one of the parents of the deceased, Mr. Kayode Aremu, who expressed gratitude to the Chairman for coming to sympathise with them, noted that it was a painful loss but accepted their fate, calling on school authorities to be more vigilant during and after school activities.
