Ogun SUBEB Boss Warns School Teachers Against Collection Of Illegal From Learners

Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has cautioned teachers in public primary schools across the state not to collect illegal fees from learners.

Chairman of the board, Dr. Femi Majekodunmi gave the warning during an interview on a radio programme in Abeokuta, saying any teacher caught extorting money from pupils would face disciplinary actions, because education is free in the state.

He advised parents and guidance not to pay any unapproved levies, just as he maintained that Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration had not relented in its statutory duties by ensuring prompt payment of Running Cost to schools for
smooth running of  the schools since assumption of office

The SUBEB boss also revealed that the Federal Government would soon reintroduce the Home Grown School Feeding Programme to all public primary schools across Nigeria.

He assured that government would continue to prioritise the capacity building of teachers, to improve professionalism and service delivery.
