A traditional ruler in Ogun State, the Orunda of Olorunda in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, Oba Philip Enitan Ogunsola has called on his people to jointly support various initiatives aimed at fast tracking development of the town
Oba Ogunsola making the call during a special party to celebrate the new year with the people at his palace in Olorunda, stressed the need for those in Kesan village and some other aggrieved people in Ilugbo and Imala to shun devisivesness and promote the unity and progress of the town
The monarch pledged to continue to strive very hard for unity and progress of people of Olorunda and its environ
"I'm calling on everyone to let us work together for the unity and development of Olorunda town, we need the support of all stakeholders to attract various developmental projects to our community", Orunda pleaded
Prominent people of the town including leaders of Community Development Committee, Iyalode of Olorunda, Mrs Saulat Bakare and Chief Olalekan Tinubu all lauded the leadership qualities of Oba Ogunsola describing him as true son of Olorunda who is passionate about development of the town
The Iyalode of Olorunda who is the longest serving Chief in the town pleaded with the aggrieved people to bury their hatchet and join hands with the monarch to move the town forward, in terms of provision of basic amenities to improve on socio-economic activities of residents in the town
