Social Group Gives Succour To Indigent Patients At OOUTH Sagamu





 
A devoted social group in Sagamu, Remolanders Club recently donated 50 pairs of bedspreads with pillowcases and paid medical bills of five indigent patients  at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, (OOUTH) in industrial town of  Sagamu, Ogun State 

President of the club, Olanrewaju Olaleye who led other members,  said the exercise was a form of giving back to underprivileged people in the society to further demonstrate the commitment of the club to provision of  harmonious service to humanity. 

“It brings an emotional feeling to see patients in hospitals that are certified medically fit for discharge but could not leave due to unsettled bills, so Remolanders members, as dedicated Remo sons, believed it is good to support them”, he said.

Responding to the gesture, the 
Chief Medical Director, OOUTH, Dr. Oluwafunmilayo Fatungase who was  represented by the Director, Clinical Services and Training, OOUTH, Dr. Olusoji Jagun, expressed deep appreciation  to Remolanders Club for being magnanimous  and good-hearted 


Jagun said the OOUTH Management through the passionate government, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, had granted medical bill waivers to many hapless patients whose medical records equating to millions, adding that government efforts towards adequate healthcare services is efficiently higher owing to the sensitive nature.

He urged other social and independent bodies to assist by imbibing the Remolanders Club’s benevolent contribution towards uplifting the society’s and by bringing joy to them
