Ogun State Government has charged Private School Owners to be more supportive, by complying strictly with government's regulations, in order to ensure sustenance of standard education and take the sector to greater heights.
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Arigbabu gave the charge while playing host to the Grand Union of Private School Associations (GUPSA) in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying their cooperation and collaborative effort would go a long way in building a revitalised and rebranded education sector.
The Commissioner further advised them to key into the digitalized activities of the ministry and policies, saying the Ministry being the regulatory body would ensure that the education given to the children either in public or private schools is of high quality standard.
He emphasised that they should discourage others from establishing schools without following due processes, urging them to use the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda (OGSERA) platform for their major activities, apply to the Ministry for approval to generate Learners Identification Number (LIN) and embrace biometrics for learners’ fingerprint which will be introduced later.

President, GUPSA, Ustaadh Abdulazeez Ajibola had earlier commended the government for its firm and pragmatic approach towards sustaining the morals and digital data compliance in the education sector of the State
He pledged their unwavering support, commitment and cooperation to reposition the sector among the comity of States in Nigeria and the world at large.
