It was commendation galore for ten Rotary Clubs from Lagos and Abeokuta who jointly successfully completed and commissioned borehole facilities at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Abeokuta
The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo represented by the Agba-Akin of Egbaland, Chief Rasheed Raji formally commissioned the water project over the weekend on the Ojere campus of the institution with shower of praises for the Rotary Clubs from District 9110, Nigeria who polled resources together to provide potable water for the needs of the polytechnic's community
The Paramount ruler lauded the initiative of the ten Rotary Clubs from Lagos and Abeokuta for their committment to actualization of the water project to enhance hygiene and healthy environment for staff, students, traders and others on the campus of the Ogun State Government owned premier polytechnic
Rector of the institution, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji appreciated the Rotary Clubs for solving one of the most critical problems on the campus, describing the location of the borehole facilities near mini market of the institution, as the most suitable for beneficiaries of the water project
President of the Students' Union Government, Comrade Ezikiah Babatunde Adelola equally showered encomium on the clubs for responding to the potable water need of the campus community
President-elect of Rotary Club,Ikeja, Rotarian Emeka Ibe however called on the management of the institution to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities for the beneficiaries to continue potable water
Rotarians including Onijale of Ijale land, Oba Micheal Babalola from the Rotary Clubs in Abeokuta, Abeokuta-Metro, Oke-Ona , Ake-Royal, Obantoko, Elega, Gbonagun and Ibara-GRA as well as Ikeja and Alausa-Ikeja in Lagos who jointly funded the project, graced the event amongst other dignitaries, staff, students and traders on the campus
