Ogun State Government  has approved a N50m revolving loan for members of the Nigeria Automobile Technician and Association (NATA) in the state.

Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the loan approval during an interactive session with members of the association on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the state capital

"Your chairman told me that you want me to make an arrangement for you that will allow you to borrow money to trade, I  have told your chairman that the issue of the loan is a done deal.

"By the grace of God, you can see that I was looking at my phone because I had made an arrangement for that loan and I am just waiting to see the alert so I can know if your chairman has received the alert.

"Your chairman has sent your association's account details to me and I have arranged the loan for you. If the amount does not enter before I leave, it will enter before I get to my next stop", the governor assured

"The money is small, let us start with it first, when you borrow yourselves and return it, I will put an additional amount on it.

"What I have given you today is just N50m naira", Abiodun said.

The governor, while acknowledging the contributions of members of the association to the economic development of the society, disclosed that no economy can survive without mechanics.

He thanked  them for supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress with their votes during the last presidential and national assembly elections, urging them to go all out to educate their family members on the need to vote him for the continued prosperity of the state.

The governor who also assured members of the association that his administration would power their village with solar enabled lights, also noted that a bus will be provided for them as well as ensuring that the failed part of their perimeter fencing is reconstructed.
