Version Conflict: Ogun Partners NGO, Organises ICT Classes For Pupils



Ogun State Government in conjunction with an NGO, Fajemilokun Foundation has organised Information and Communication Technology (ICT) classes for primary and secondary school learners in both public and private schools in Iperu axis of the State, for improved educational standards.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, who paid a visit to one of the training centres, Iperu Technovation Space (ITS), said learners should be abreast of ICT skills to make them conversant with the  21st Century technology innovations.

Mrs. Soyombo revealed that classes had been scheduled for different categories of learners from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm with digitalised computers and well-trained tutors, saying the training would go a long way in molding their future careers.

The Special Adviser called on well-meaning individuals to support the government by replicating the innovation in all the 20 Local Governments Areas across the State, appreciating the management of the centre for the good maintenance of the gadgets.

Speaking, tutors at the centre, Messers Babatunde Ajayi and Abiodun Shittu said the exposure to  ICT skills at the primary and secondary school levels would help learners in handling computers and other derivable benefits attached to the classes, affirming the positive feedback received.

Speaking, some of the benefitting learners, Moses Sunday and Oluwatunmise Taiwo of Akesan Community Grammar School and their counterparts in Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu, Oladosu Fakos said the training had availed them the opportunity to know how to use PowerPoints for presentation, appreciating the present government and the Foundation for the initiative
