Ogun State House of Assembly has asked nominees being considered by it for the positions of Commissionership and members of the statutory Commissions, to raise the bar of governance to justify their appointment by Governor Dapo Abiodun
Abiodun had transmitted the names of the Commissioner nominees and members of statutory commissions, to the legislative arm for screening and approval
The Speaker of the house, Right Honourable Olakunle Oluomo who gave the charge on Wednesday while presiding over the screening commended their nomination, describing them as array of professionals and party men and woman, who have been adding values to governance in the State
He enjoined them to do more to ensure the growth of the socio-economic status of the state upon confirmation by the Assembly and swearing-in by the governor.
Oluomo in company of other lawmakers, charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through the formulation of ideas and people-oriented projects that would benefit the citizenry.
The Commissioner- nominees include Hon. Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo, Taiwo Oludotun, Hamzat Ganiyu, Ola Oresanya and Abayomi Hunye.
Those screened for the Statutory Commissions are Mr. Adeleye Joseph Ademola for Teaching Service Commission; Hon. Onadeko Onamusi for House of Assembly Service Commission; Nurudeen Aina and Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji for the Judicial Service Commission.
In their responses, Hon. Adeleye-Oladapo and Oresanya, assured of a more dedicated performance in whatever assignment entrusted in their care, saying that the State had a perfect eco-balance through vegetation and forests that create good ecosystem.
