Introduction Of Technology Will Ensure Quick Release Of BECE Results-- Ogun Govt Assures Candidates





The Ogun State Government has assured Junior Secondary class 3 students writing the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) of quick release of their results, following the introduction of technology in the conduct of the examinations

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu who gave the assurance during inspection of the examinations, said  quick release of the results would accelerate proper placement of learners in senior secondary classes. 

Arigbabu  led a team of the Ministry  to Odeda and Abeokuta South Local Government Areas of the State to monitor the examination. 

The Commissioner regarded  BECE as a yardstick that would streamline  learners' class at the senior secondary level by their performances in different subjects.

“For this year's BECE, the State has improved on the examination process, due the integration of technology and other logistics put in place, and we hope this will aid  propmt release of results for schools to  be able to use it to streamline learners into various classes at the Senior Secondary School level. We consider BECE as a true reflection of learners performance”, Arigbabu explained.

The Commissioner lauded the effort of the  school administrators for their ingenuity at ensuring that necessary logistics are in place for the smooth conduct of the examination, advising the learners to be of good behavior and put in their best.

Some of the schools visited include, Salawu Abiola Comprehensive High School, Osiele, Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Obantoko, Federal College of Education Model Secondary School, Osiele and Nawair-Ud-Deen High School, Isabo, all in Abeokuta.
