Saraki Worries Over 80% of Revenue Being Spent On Debt Servicing,...Says Nigeria Needs President To Fix Economy




Former President of the Senate and Peoples Democratic Party PDP presidential hopeful, Sen.Bukola Saraki has expressed concern over the state of Nigeria's economy, which according to him now spend  80% of its revenue earnings on debt servicing 

Saraki addressing the PDP delegates at the Ogun State Secretariat in Abeokuta on Monday, stressed the need for Nigerians to elect president who is courageous and understands the economy and has the capacity to fix it and address the disturbing trend of exchange rate of naira of dollar which used to be at N250 but now almost N600 

The PDP presidential aspirant who had earlier had a closed door Meeting with former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at his pent house at the Presidential Library, solicited for support of the State delegates to clinch the party's ticket at the forthcoming primary

 "People of Ogun State need a president with the connection who can harness the potential of industries in the state as Nigeria's Industrial hub and create more jobs for the people," he added

Saraki who described the current insecurity as worse than the period of civil war in the late 60s, promised to address the situation if elected as next president in 2023

He assured that many Nigerians would have access to qualitative health care deliverying at primary health facilities in the country while health services would made  more affordable through  enrollment into the National Health insurance scheme within two years

The former governor of Kwara State assured Nigerians  of carrying out the much agitated restructucting of the country, claiming to be the only aspirant with the required experiences  in both parliamentary and executive arms  of government

According to him, "Nigeria needs a president who will not only give instructions but has the energy and capacity to ensure such instructions are carried out, a president who can unite Muslims and Christians, who can represent interest of the Nigerians" 

One of the PDP governorship aspirants, Hon Ladipo Adebutu while responding on behalf of the delegates from the state, pledged the support of the chapter to the aspiration of Saraki in his determination to fix the problems confronting the country and make life meaningful for Nigerians
