A leadership capacity development organization ‘Project55 Africa’ based in United States of America is sets to hold a transformational leadership Summit for undergraduates, academic and non- academic staff of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta,Ogun state, south-west Nigeria, this Wednesday,27th of April , 2022.
Founder of Project 55 Africa Mr Ade Adeyemi who made this known to Edu-Biznews on Monday in a statement ,said the essence of the summit was to discover and develop one person at a time for transformation of Africa
His words, " our mission is to transform Africa one person at a time and this closely aligned with that of John C. Maxwell, the world-renowned leadership guru and author of about 100 books on leadership and values transformation, whose vision is to transform leadership in every country in the world."
"we want to launch our African countries transformational journey at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere campus Abeokuta taking the entire faculty and students on a journey that will drastically transform the culture of the institution, and values of our future leaders,”Adeyemi stated
According to him, “In 2015, John devised a formula to transform countries by bringing together leaders of all eight spheres of influence around Transformation Tables”.
Adeyemi further explained that "transformation tables are: values-based leadership development lessons, designed to encourage self-reflection and consistent action. They are 6 weeks long, 1 lesson each week. Each table lesson lasts 1 hour."
“We at Project55 Africa, believe that transformation happens one person at a time, and also that transformed people transform communities. As we embark on launching this transformational journey in Africa, we respectfully ask that Moshood Abiola Polytechnic host our very first value transformational workshop on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022”,he stated
"We shall the same framework that has been used to transform countries like Costa Rica, Paraguay and Guatemala. When applied specifically at MAPOLY, we expect to see a drastic change in the institution and also transported home to siblings and parents positively transforming our community because transformed people transform countries" he added
Adeyemi, an Alumnus of MAPOLY expressed his unlimited joy for the opportunity given to him to contribute to the greatness of the society
" Nothing gives me more pleasure than being able to contribute to future greatness and I thank the Alumni Association, the current administration and management for allowing me to add value to our future leaders," he concluded
Similarly , National President MAPOLY Alumni Association, Pastor Ezekiel Obasanya , says ‘' the transformation leadership Summit in conjunction with Alumni and the dynamic management led by Dr Adeoye Odedeji, Rector , MAPOLY is apt, timely and significant to transform our society "
Obasanya further added that "the Summit is expected to be attended by High Commissioner of the African Union (AU), Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Prof Abayomi Adelaja Arigbabu, distinguished leaders of all eight spheres of influence in Ogun State, leaders of service clubs and organizations, MAPOLY students, faculty and members of the public will start the institutions week 1 of 12 on the transformation journey."
" From past experiences, these values work is the way we shall beat the ideology of hate which is directly responsible for cultism, kidnapping, indiscriminate killing.ritual killings and several get rich schemes and unethical behaviours of our present youths which degrades our society", he stated
