A Private firm Software Business Solutions Consulting (SBSC) and ODUA Investment have entered into partnership with Ogun State Government, to create more job opportunities for graduates to make them gainfully employed.
It would be recalled that SBSC and ODUA Investment agreed with the State Government to share and realise its vision on youth development through Information Technology (IT) which berthed the official launch of Software Business Solutions Consulting in October 2021.
This indication emerged at a training session in Abeokuta to offer the participants knowledge to become front-end developers, among other skills that would provide them with automatic employment after completion of the training.
Speaking at the event, Special Adviser to the Governor on ICT, Mr. Dayo Abiodun said the training was borne out of the unwavering commitment of Prince Dapo Abiodun to engage the youths positively in Ogun State.
He noted the training was considered necessary by the government to actualise their dreams in Information Technology (IT) terrain, adding that the participants would be opportune to acquire knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, as well as giving stipends for their upkeep during the training.
"As a government, we understand that youths are the biggest assets in the country, that is why we allowed partnership with Software Business Solutions Consulting (SBSC) in collaboration with ODUA Investment to develop their potentials and ensure they get the necessary intellectual update to develop the State and Nigeria at large. So, I implore you not to take for granted the opportunity given to you by the Ogun State government and its partners in giving you free training and payment at the same time", he said.
In his presentation, the Human Resource Associate, SBSC, Mr. Joshua Moses said participants were considered on merit, noting that the training would last for three months while test would be conducted on the trainees based on what they have learnt before considering them for employment.
Speaking on behalf of other participants, Victor Olawale and Chinonso Nweke described the training as unique, saying it should be sustained to accommodate more employed youths in the State.
