Ogun State Government in collaboration with the World Bank has assured Community Development Associations (CDAs) of sustaining its COVID-19 Recovery and Economic Stimulus recurrent projects aimed at enhancing provision of the needed Infrastructures in the various communities in the state.
The State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat gave the assurance while featuring on a personality programme in Abeokuta
He added that the projects which would commence soon was aimed at assisting CDAs in fast-tracking completion of community projects across the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.
Hamzat who listed the projects to include boreholes, road rehabilitation and construction, electrification, among others, noted that in spite of the global economic recession, the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration would not relent in its efforts at ensuring the wellbeing of its citizenry.
He pointed out that in the previous years, the Ministry had given grant -in-aid to CDAs and Cooperative Societies, while its had carried out the first phase of the World Bank-Assisted project through Community and Social Development Agency in six Local Governments Areas, and so on, urging all and sundry to cooperate with the government in it strive to take the State to a greater height.
