New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun State has asked Governor Dapo Abiodun to immediately consider reshuffling his cabinet, following the leakage of a video which ridicules the exalted office of a governor
The Governor was spotted in front of camera in the more than five minutes viral video on social media, correcting mistakes in the sentences in the last May 29 speech, expectedly prepared by the media team for broadcast to the people of the state
The State Chairman of NNPP, Comrade Olaposi Oginni in a statement issued on Saturday in Abeokuta, the state capital, described the leakage of the video as work of saboteurs within the system, which must be punished, backing the purported order of the governor to probe those responsible for the inglorious act.
NNPP cited the alleged $350,000 COVID-19 unemployment benefits fraud charge level against, the suspended top aide, Abidemi Rufai now before a court in the United States, following his arrest on May 14 and the last 2nd of January alleged immoral act of sexual assault by erstwhile Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun against a sixteen-year old girl as other reasons, the cabinet should be reshuffled
The party urged the governor to stop using appointments as reward for political patronage and safe his administration and the state further embarrassment, by ensuring that only those with impeccable character and records are appointed into the reschuffled cabinet, to enable him deliver on his campaign promises to the people of the state
