Remo Stars and Nilayo Football Club both based in Ogun State, started their campaign for promotion on a bright note, winning their respective matches on day-one of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2020/2021 season
High-flying, Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo were ruthless at home on Sunday, with a 5-0 demolition of the visitors, Goddosky FC .
The homeside completely dominated the encounter in the second half , scoring four more goals to consolidate on its one goal lead in the opening half of the match .
With the result,Remo Stars are now topping the Southern Conference Group B2 of the second tier league with three points and plus five goals, ahead of Crown of Ogbomoso and Joy Cometh of Lagos with three points and plus three goals each .
In the Southern Conference Group B1, Nilayo FC, also managed a two/one win over the visiting Nnewi United in a match played at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta .
The Abeokuta based side are behind table leaders, Shooting Stars of Ibadan who thrashed Calabar Rovers three/nil at their adopted home ground,Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode .
