WAFU-B U-17: Again Nigeria, Coted-'Ivoire In Supremacy Battle

Again Nigeria's Golden Eaglets and Young Elephants of Coted-'Ivoire will lock horns on Sunday evening in final of the ongoing West Africa Football Union (WAFU-B U-17 )competition in Lome Togo.

Edu-biznews recalled that both countries had met in the group stage of the tournament, with the Ivorians running away with a lone-goal victory over the five times World Champions.

Coted-'Ivoire edged past Niger Republic by a lone-goal in the second semi-final match of the competition on Friday, to set a stage for a battle of supremacy with the Nigerian Cadet side who had earlier defeated hard fighting Burkina-Faso by the same margin.

The Coach Fatai Amoo tutored side would need to be at their very best to beat the highly enterprising Ivorians who have been enjoying a 100 percent performance so far, having won their matches in the tournament.

Already, the two countries had secured their places in the forthcoming AFCON Under-17 in Morocco.
